Regulations

Tournament regulations

  • All matches shall be played in accordance with the Laws of the Game as laid down by The Japanese Football Association Board.
  • All balls must be size 4.

Tournament System

  • Each match shall be played by two teams, containing a maximum of 11 players per team and must include 1 goalkeeper per team.
  • The matches shall be played in accordance with the tournament system (knockout) , by 8 teams , who will have to advance via the Qualifying League.

Entry qualifications

  • All participating players must be born after 1st of January 2006.

Game duration

  • The matches for the Qualifying League shall last 40 minutes, comprising of two of 20 minute periods with an interval of 5 minutes. (Substitutions and drink time are included in each game during the stated time above.)
  • Except the order finals, which shall last 30 minutes, comprising of two of 15 minutes periods.
  • The Quarter final, the semi final, the third place playoff and the final matches shall last 50 minutes comprising of two 25 minute periods with an interval of 10 minutes.
    (Substitutions and drink time are included in each game during the stated time above.)
  • In the knockout stages, if a match is level at the end of normal playing time, penalty kicks (3-players) shall be taken to determine the winner.

Substitution

  • The number of substitutes for registered players is up to a maximum of 3 times during a game,which includes first and second halves.
  • The number of each substitution is unlimited and the use of return substitutions is permitted.
  • Substitions during half time will not count as the alloted 3 times teams have to make their changes.

Warning / Sent Off

  • Any player that is sent off will be suspended for the next game.
  • Any player that is sent off twice in different games during the Qualifying League will be suspended for the next game. If this disposal is not preceded in the Qualifying League, this player will be suspended for the next game during the quarter final, the semi final, the third place playoff and the final or order finals.
  • In The Quarter final, the semi final, the third place playoff and the final or order finals, there is no disposal of one warning in the Qualifying League.

The decision of withdrawal

  • The decision of withdrawal is made by U-12 JUNIOR SOCCER WORLD CHALLENGE 2017 Steering Committee.

The ranking of the teams in the Qualifying League

For the ranking of the teams during the Qualifying League, each team will play one match against each of the other teams in the same group, with 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and none for a defeat.
The total number of points obtained in all group matches shall determine the ranking of the teams in each group;

If 2 or more teams are equal on the basis of the greatest number of points, then, their ranking shall be determined by the following:

1)Goal difference in all group matches
2)Greatest number of goals scored in all group matches
3)The result of the game between the teams concerned
4)Drawing of lots by the Committee

In the case of a game that cannot be held or the withdrawal of another team (unplayed matches and abandoned matches), the forfeiting team will have a 3-0 loss registered against them.

Celebration

  • The teams and the players below shall be celebrated.

A) The winning team.
B) The semi final winning team.
C) The third place team.
D) The forth place team.
E) MVP of the tournament.
F) The top goal scorer.

Other things

  • Matters that are not stated on this regulation will be discussed with and decided by the organizer.
